No, a bad deal is worse than a good deal, or a so so deal. In the situation we are in, nothing, absolutely nothing is worse than no deal. If we get any kind of trade concessions from the EU we'd be doing well.

No, I'm saying the UK parliament willingly joined the EEC and has kept with it to the EU. We aren't being hamstrung into anything. The EU isn't the enemy.

Attempts being made to force the publication of Brexit reports.

https://news.sky.com/story/labour-bi...apers-11107753

Sensible quote from the TUC General Secretary:

"It's a poor excuse to say the secrecy is needed for negotiations.

"The EU 27 will have the same information already from work by their own officials. The only people being kept in the dark are the British public.

"The longer that ministers hide the truth, the more people will believe it's to bury bad news."

Apparently ministers (according to Robin Walker, a brexit minister) are considering publishing the reports in summary or redacted form. I wonder which bits they'll redact ...

Not sure why secrecy is needed. Surely the message of these reports will be that the impact of Brexit will be positive, given that’s what people like IDS are in favour of?

Also, if these reports are negative and the government thinks they’re bollocks then why are they wasting money on this shit then?

Question

A parliamentary vote, tens of thousands of people signing a petition, and hundreds of MPs signing a letter all demand the publication of the reports.

Isn't it interesting how the Brexiters are suddenly less keen on democracy?
