I dont read too much into the Inter thing tbh. Inter always had those headless chicken performances in them in Europe and only stamped them out and actually looked like a serious unit (the last 10 years) was uner Mourinho.

If we dont beat Schalke, we'll have missed a lot of chances and went to pieces at the back imo. We should be going there for the win on Tuesday and nothing less. If wed drawn them in the last 16 wed all be relaxed, its because were so close everyones got the dooms caps on (naturally).

And theres no way a side thats lost as many as theyve won in the league are better than the Leverkusen side of 02. I dont even think our players underestimated them, they just played excellently at Old Trafford in the 2nd half. Add to that we missed Keane in the home leg and it wasnt that much of a shock.

Butt; Zivkovic, Lucio, Nowotny; Placente; Ramelow; Schneider, Ballack, Basturk, Ze Roberto; Berbatov.

Basturk and Schneider were excellent players too and went on to have good world cups that year in Japan/Korea.
