Saf will drop carrick and we probably won't see him again this season. Midfield of Giggs and Park. 3-1 Newcazzle.

Show him inside to where it's congested, onto his left foot at least, don't square yourself off, leaving the entire right hand side of the penalty area to run into Schoolboy stuff.

That too. But he exacerbated the issue with his little shuffle to his right as Toure approached him with the ball, made his mind up for him.

pretty sure his mind was already made up tbh. he'd had a similar run not long earlier. where was evra btw? not watched that bit back much

all goals are born of mistakes. there were loads of mistakes from both teams on saturday.

Yup. Ofcourse the initial error is Carrick's, but we were still fairly well set once Toure received the ball, but Vidic, as you say, just made it very easy for Toure, who finished well. He's scored a few like that this season too, IIRC. We should've seen it off.

Anyway, good to see we're not dwelling on it just a few post into a thread about tonight's PL game

I'm still seething tbh. I'm not sure there is much that is going to quell my displeasure.

Initial error was actually Van der Sar with his (unusually for him) poor clearance.
