any and all of the above. if we play like we have been for the last few weeks? we might scrape though against psv.

Even when Utd are playing well domestically they got into Europe and perform like frightened Rabbits. There has not been one performance in Europe this season that you would rate above 7/10, and most of them have been well below it.

Inability to pass the ball is the most worrying aspect.

It's the inability of us to pass the ball forwards at all that is most worrying...

We had one outlet tonight and that was Ronnie running with the ball.

Nothing over the top, no striker to hold the ball up, no midfielders running from deep.

If we win anything the way we are playing, it will be very, very lucky, and probably undeserved....

As already said, he doesn't trust Carrick & Scholesy together as a 2.
So what he does is make it a 3 by bringing O'Shea in.
But it's not a '3' with 'keeping the ball & creating things' in mind...it's all about extra bodies, congestion...stop them playing. (when was that ever what Manchester United was about?? )

We pass backwards & sideways in Europe from the central midfield areas.
We ask Rooney to play on the wing & track back more than go forward (although I agree that doesn't excuse his performance tonight)
& we ask Ronnie to play on the opposite wing, but seemingly he isn't asked to track back (or he just doesn't bother)
Either way it leads to a mess in terms of fluidity & shape.

I remember that 'tingle' we used to get for Champions league games...that electricity that buzzed around the whole night....excitment, thrills & spills, late goals, great goals, plenty of efforts on target, near misses, bad luck etc..
It's all well & good people going on & on about Rooney & Ronaldo's European goals record, but as a whole team we've failed to produce in an attacking sense for years now.

I'm bored of it.
I want the Premiership & the FA Cup.
We'll go out next round whoever we play......either that or we'll go all the way playing distinctly un-Manchester United football.
