She would have been 87 next Saturday but her doctor was Harold Shipman.

You´ve brought all the memories back. Thanks for that.

Arsenal bottled that, should have thrashed Utd on chances created and with the defence Utd had out, but became increasingly anxious as the game progressed and reacted ridiculously to going a goal down. Have never seen a team leave so many opportunities to counter with that amount of time left on the clock, it was amateurish, deserved to lose for how idiotic they were. The goal was unfortunate, an offside and a foul, then an own goal, but they continually react poorly to difficult moments.

Utd were really poor for vast swathes of that game, could barely string more than 2/3 passes together, but a big win that should push Utd on to making a run at the top 4. Plenty of ammo for both sides of the Welbeck debate, easily the most dynamic striker on show but snatched at all his chances.

Not sure there's a debate. He was a crap finisher at united and he is for arsenal. Strikers aren't measured by any other scale - it's goals and that's it.

Huge question mark over lvg for me now. If we lose he will get hounded and it will be hard to defend him even if i wont agree with the inevitable "sack sack sack" frenzy.
Why would it be hard to defend him? The number of games played since he become manager is barely in double figures for £#%&!s sake.

25 years ago, a manager got 3 years of excuses. Now they get 3 months and an injury crises.

Are you serious? He was appalling any time he was near the ball, seems to be in the team for the purpose of winning flick ons from goal kicks. He did 2 important things today which sum him up, push the defender into the keeper while offside which led to the goal, and play a shit pass to Wilshere that led to him injuring himself and destroying their midfield.

Or even one everyone is aware of.

It's pretty £#%&!ing obvious Herrera's ribs won't be prematurely risked so long as there are fitter players to play midfield instead.

Well it's illogical to have him on the bench if he's so at risk. How on earth can you justify putting someone on the bench who is so close to puncturing their own lung that he should be surrounded by 'handle with care' bollards if he was to enter the pitch.Being on the bench or not is about being match fit, not being near death you £#%&!ing plum.

He also started the counter attack for our second goal.

Seems like it's very fashionable to hate Fellaini on here, and I'm not his biggest fan, but he's nowhere near as bad as some people make out.

he's every bit as bad. and our shape and style suffer more than just when he touches the ball. £#%&! knows why the back three keep playing it to him with a man on his back when they could look up and pass forward or wide to a player in space, but his control is not good enough.

Personally I thought Chambers giving him the run around by the touchline in the first 5 minutes summed him up

Still can't believe Di Maria missed that chance. Jesus christ.

Still trying to formulate my thoughts on that tbh. For all of their possession and shots, Arsenal were a terrible offside decision and a piss poor Di Maria miss away from being thrashed.

Add to that the fact that Wilshere should have been red carded; If any team 'rode their luck' today it certainly wasn't United. Arsenal had all the ball and couldn't score until the game was virtually over - a game that United should have put out of sight long before then.

Di Maria is a 50/50 player summed up by his assist and miss.
