I found getting out on the day with direct flights was pretty cheap. Not much difference from what paid by going round the houses. It is the flights back on the Thursday that are expensive. You gonna do well to get a flight back for under £150 on the Thursday.

Yeah? i have been keeping my eyes on prices for 3-5 days & cheapest i found from Manchester on the day is min £150. Liverpool £94, London has been the cheapest, however , trains, tube & time of flights didnt seem worth the hassle plus now i get a piss up in Brussels for the day & full day in Madrid, probably going to book a cheap hostel for £12 in Madrid.

I, return has been a pain in the ass for good prices on the Thursday, going to keep looking though, bloody lovebirds on Valentines day, keeping prices high!

Think on the map view on the Madrid website, Manchester United fans are in the top left hand corner. Madrid released 5,000 home end tickets yesterday, information here though to avoid South Stand due to 'Madrid Ultras'
