while happy to acknowledge carrick's performance, to say he ran the show is a little over the top. good first half. quiet in second, when we barely held possession for five or more passes.

rio for me. class is permanent and all that. looked very comfortable.

on the other end of the scale: evra - a liability every time chelsea attacked on the right side. needs a rest.

Carrick - 95% pass success rate, covered 11.31km, 7 interceptions - all the highest in the game.

As re-tweeted by Coracao a few hours ago.

Carrick was superb, the reason we didn't keep the ball in the 2nd half was two fold, Park's shit with the ball (direct opposition without where he is a £#%&!ing terrier) & Giggs was a bit poo with his distribution but he was trying to make the killer passes.

Tony for me , did very well in an unfamiliar position too , Defensively he was solid all game , love his looks of contempt too

Rio, makes Vidic a much better player. Best defender in the league when fit, best defender Utd have ever had probably.

Remember him at Wigan, was all smiles when he scored. Probably knows now what an important club he's at so theres no time for that.

i agree with jem on MotM, evra was all over the place but he still had a major influence on United winning the game

rooney and valencia were united's best players though probbly
