Rooney or Rio IMO.

Carrick was excellent as well, but I'd go with one of the above.

most were excellent but rooney proved how different he is to the rest tonight. ran the counter attacking match.

chelsea gave it their all but rooney/valencia had an answer for it all

If he could just develop his close ball control a bit better he would turn from a very good player into an excellent one.

Love Jason me

VDS for me he was so cool and calm. Rooney's work rate was tremendous, he was constantly tracking back supporting the midfield. I thought Valencia was brilliant as well he seemed to stop Cole getting forward and when he went to right back he just kept it simple.

roll on Tuesday

Great team display

Fair play to Park for his work rate etc but to say he was "magnificent" is stretching it a bit. The bloke still can't run 5 yards with the ball at his feet without falling over/into someone.

D- I said his harrying and tackling for 90 minutes was magnificent....

Of course he is limited but what he does he does to a very high level.

It gives me great, great pleasure to vote for Carrick

He was fantastic. Great with the ball, great defensively, flew into a tackle or two, provided the pass to Giggs for the goal, a pass that was nothing short of perfect, and showed great desire and determination.

As I said last night, I've battered him a lot this season as he's been £#%&!ing shit. It's annoyed me most because he is very gifted. But I thought he was good against WHAM and brilliant last night.

As you say he flew into tackles like I've not seen him do for literally Jamie, years. I dont think he gave the ball away until the 89th minute and even then he won it back soon after.

Long may it continue

Park was magnificent. He often is. I very much doubt he's asked to run 5 yards with the ball. His job is to chase, win the ball and keep it simple. He does that better than anyone else in the world (in my opinion).

If he was German, everyone would rave about what an efficient player he is. With Fletcher missing yesterday he was vital. His hard work gave Carrick freedom to play. It's no coincidence that in the 2 games he's been back both Carrick and Rooney have looked excellent.

Genuinely hard to pull one out - think the foulmouthedchildcorrupted edged it. Great performance all round with the possible exception of mad pat who slipped that many times I thought he had left his slippers on. Special mentions for VDS,Rio,Vidic,Carrick,Park, tonyV,Giggs, pea(leaving the cut back for rooney was genius).

The Wizard just keeps on keeping on

Made up for it with his goal line clearance. Not a bad performance by a single player imo.
