The myth of impartial reporting.. Regular critical analysis of the media is always worthy. If its not the sales of papers, its the numbers of tv viewers for the advertisers.

This book isnt about football in the slightest but the bias is applicable.

of course a clear penalty in the last minute that wasn't given is going to be a major talking point.

can't think of many proper football journos who agree with the rooney ban, it's mainly splitarses and non-football people who like to stick their oar in.

don't think we've been getting a particularly hard time of it in the media lately - seems to be a (grudging) respect for what we're doing this season.

@#%&!s.
Won't happen - they will *always* find something to whinge about, however trivial. Always

They genuinely despise us - largely because SAF makes no effort to hide his (utterly justified) contempt for them.

(having said that - Daniel Taylor was unusually nice towards us in this morning's Graun, I thought )

According to Football365 all our away victories this season have hinged on poor referees;

So how many is that? To update, it is a startling truth that each of United's six away victories against Premier League opponents this season have hinged on an unfathomable error by officialdom.

It is a rough count, but even excluding John O'Shea's professional tug on Fernando Torres in September and Rio Ferdinand's studded assault on Bacary Sagna in December, Evra's let-off was the seventh occasion - Rooney against Wigan, Gary Neville against Stoke and WBA, Paul Scholes against Arsenal, Nemanja Vidic against West Ham and either or both Wes Brown and Vidic against Aston Villa - this season when a United player has escaped a red card that a proper application of the rules would have produced.

Interesting for instance, didn't we have a nailed on penalty (simular to Wednesday's) against Stoke? and wasn't it Evra when the game was 1-1?

Daniel Taylor is a classic case of a man with a personal and perhaps not unreasonable grudge against Ferguson, but also unstinting in his respect for what he and United have achieved. And always the first to slam the way the club treats the supporters. Hates the Glazers too.

I'm warming to him to be honest.
