We lined up with O'Shea at right back last time & his attacking intent & ability to retain the ball, offer an out, was shit. I can't imagine he'll be back in after a days training from a hamstring... likewise Rafael, & Fabio has looked pretty assured as he's gone on there - I'd love to see him keep his place but we all know about Fergie's fear of the big lads.

Valencia is back, Nani was rested imo for the West Ham game... our Player Of The Season & current best attacking weapon surely have to start together, which means Rooney up front on his own in a Euro away. But we went 4-4-2 & I thought were really very good against Chelsea in the first 45mins in the league before we ran out of steam & did our usual 'sit back' after taking the lead. Luiz, who was comfortably their best player, is not eligible for the game, so will they move Ivanovic in & play Bosingwa... I £#%&!ing hope so - because surely we should then play 4-4-2, 2 wingers up against their full backs - that would leave their creativity down to Essien, Lampard, Ramires... Malouda ? If they want to get their full backs forward then they'll be in danger of being caught on the break - so do you start with Hernandez, or do we keep the ball & play Berbs as Scholes having to chase around is a bad, bad look.... ?

Personally - if Chelsea line up 4-3-3 I'd go with

But if they line up 4-4-2, with Bosingwa at right back, Ramires on the right wing...

..........................vds

fabio......smalling........vidic......evra

Valencia....Carrick.....Scholes....Nani

...........Rooney..........Berbs...........

Which will probably only last an hour before Scholes is £#%&!ed, get Fletcher or Anderson on, depending who's fittest, & Cheech for Berbs.

Who's the £#%&!ing ref for this anyway ? If we get £#%&!ed over again there I think I'll puke.
Doubt Ancellotti will give us the team before hand though mate

You'd imagine Fergie might have an inkling as to how they'd go though. I got the impression he changed the side in the league game after he saw their side, didn't we put our team sheet in 15mins late or something ?

That's why we'll go with park instead of valencia so we can go

Nani------MF------MF-----Park

-------Rooney-Chic/berbs-------

or

------MF---------------MF---------

--------------Park----------------

Nani------------------------Rooney

------------Berbs/Chic---------

Depending on what chelsea do.

Too much emphasis is put on this away goal thing though. I work with a mong who thinks it's better to lose 2-1 than draw 0-0 away from home. 'Cause 'you have an away gooalll, durrr'.

Even when I try and tell him it's better to draw 0-0, than lose 23-22 and have 22 away goals, he thinks I'm the thick one!

O'Shea has just started training after a hamstring injury. Rio and Anderson havent played since...?

Risky, to say the least.

0-0 away in a 1st leg is a shit result. All it takes is one moment of misfortune or downright stuffiness and you're £#%&!ed in the home leg.

Well yeah. Prefer a score draw to both though.
