Because we let them be. We gave them so much space and they grew in confidence as the game went on.

We may as well have played with no midfield. Possibly the worst match Matic has had for us and Herrera looks like he doesn't have a clue what he's doing.

Where was Mata? Why is Miki getting games ahead of Lingard when this type of match is made for him? What the £#%&! is going on with Pogba?

Thumbs down

All that excitement at the start of the season has now completely evaporated

We’re a shell of a team at the moment
No substance or clear idea in how we try to play

Forget the league as you might as well give that to City now as there’s nobody to touch them this season
We look a mile off that level

The knifes will be out for Lukaku (and he has been dogshit recently) but he’s getting £#%&! all service
We’ve seen in recent weeks why I wasn’t too keen on him as he’s not really that good a footballer and personally I always prefer technical footballers at Utd

Jose has to get out of this juvenile strop he’s been in and start coaching this team into playing some semblance of good football
Since the International break we’ve been horrible to watch and Jose has to sort it out now

Surely Pogba is back for our next game........... we do not play for another 2 weeks, he is already back training in Manchester so should be ready... And Zlatan's return can not come quick enough...

Rashford scores that great chance in the first half and it's a different game

Midfield was totally overrun today and tbh not for the first time this season. Mourinho needs to drop Mikki after that, been a passenger for far to long

The trouble then is we haven't really got a creative spark and we're getting nothing (other than work rate) out of our full backs. Mentioned it in another thread we're desperate for for full backs who can attack

Leadership is another huge problem for us. So many cowards who look to others to change a game and not want to take on the responsibility.

But he didn't. And that's what happens when you have to rely on players who aren't good enough. they don't produce when it matters.

“Look at the service”.

%@#$&!s, Morata got similar today and it was clear to see who the more committed footballer was. It’s not even close at the level between them.

But what did people expect? When he gets comfortable he gets lazy. He’s not good enough but we already knew that.

Good luck with that. He'll take a nose dive into the deep end after this.

The longer we have to rely on the likes of Herrera, Young, Valencia, Jones, Smalling who really are pretty average at best...then you have Rashford and Martial who are wildly inconsistent up the other end... you'll continue to get shambolic performances when you come up against the best teams.

7 goals in the last 7 games. The same problems are still there from last season.
Correct.

We've said it many times, but the only improvement we've made is matic.

I don't mind any one of the above listed shit@#%&!s in small doses, but if four or more of them are starting regularly, then we really have nobody to blame but ourselves.

Huge question marks over Lukaku, who is living up entirely to his billing of flat track bully who will score plenty, but generally be a bit shit and soft.

I generally like mkihitaryan, but he's been shit since Pogba got injured and is a level below the likes of De Bruyne, Silva, Eriksen, Countinho, Sanchez in terms of their importance to their team. You could easily drop him for Lingard. Who is average.. that says a lot.

We adopted a formation that involves two wing backs that just arnrt comfortable in that set up.

Jones is a @#%&!. Smalling is average. Herrera is a non entity and we're utterly spineless as a group.

And then there's our plan b. Fellaini. I don't hate him. He is what he is. I hate that he plays for us. I hate that he wasn't sold due to a change from that style of football. But most of All, I hate that we look our most dangerous when we play up to him. That is how poor our football is And, as long as he is here, we are always likely to defer to it.

We miss Pogba (whose mysterious absence is a £#%&!ing embarrassment) but that's no excuse. He's more or less the only one missing and we are utterly bereft of ideas away from home.

Today was shit and totally predictable.

City are considerably better than us.

And £#%&! anyone who smugly laughed at the suggestion that flattering 4-0 scorelines were parting over the cracks.

Exactly. Huddersfield run over us ffs simply because they wanted it more.

Get a decent team to out-work us and you get what you saw today. A disjointed mess of average players at 6s and 7s.

We are a hard team to watch.

Poor passing, poor decisions, poor touches, poor movement and no creativity. We’re the anti-City, and that’s hard to admit. Good teams build; we lump.

I’m getting tired of looking at these players.

I’d be worrying more about the fact that we don’t seem to have created more than two chances in the last six weeks. £#%&! what other teams do; we’re just not good enough.

If Mou is trying to get a new contract, he's going a funny way about it. If he's hoping to go to PSG, he might get there a bit quicker if we play like that today.

The problem we have now is we're pregnant with him. We know the football is shit and we don't think it's going to last long but here we are, trying to smile and hoping for a few good days before the inevitable nasty divorce.

Yep. We'll look for cracks because it's them, but the type of football they play and the players they've invested in Are much better than ours.

They'll cruise the league. And we all know it, even if we don't want to admit it.

Exactly

Are we now blaming the opposition for not being shit against us?

Chelsea were ok. They got better because we let them get better. They were there for the taking. Just as they were against City. Just like Liverpool were against us.

We failed to win because we aren't good enough. It really is that simple.
