Didn't the same government say premier league footballers should do more for society back at the start of Covid?

Correct and as a finisher RVN was closer to Denis than he was to Rooney, Denis was one of the toughest players i've ever seen in those days he was kicked black and blue and give it back which wouldn't happen today or in RVN's era so I think Denis would have been even better if he played now.

Rooney was tough too and both him and RVN played in an era where IMO defenders were better than in the 60's where it was very physical.

Ruud over Rooney.

Ok.

Yes, but only in ways that they approve of. Which doesn't include actually asking the government (perfectly politely and reasonably, since they care so much about that) to do things.

Rooney added more to the team nqat; much more selfless. We scored more goals after Ruud left.

Rashford needs to have a word with Rayber because it's all her fault.

The vote the other day showed the Conservative Party for what they really are. The cost to government was tiny compared to other expenditure they have allowed, but their inherited privilege and their disdain for the lowest classes in this country wouldn't allow them to be seen to u-turn a second time for a black Northern kid.

All the Karens giving it "the benefits systems pays the families enough money to feed these kids", "a loaf is only 50p" etc really don't get it. This isn't about the parents, its about the kids. Kids who have no parental support. Kids who have to wash and clothe their younger siblings because parents are too self obsessed, stoned or ill to do it. They are everywhere.

I'm proud of Marcus Rashford doing this. As a red, as a Northerner and as a human being. He really needs to improve his goals to chances ratio though the shitc*** or he will be moving to Suffolk.
Well said.

I notice the usual 'celebrity virtue signalling' crap is being thrown out. As if the conservatives don't jump onto any and every washed up actor sharing their message as a sign of someone "saying it as it is".

Marcus isn’t discriminating on who he wants to help, so keeping stereotypes out of the debate completely only isolates even further those who want to introduce them, and that’s what you want.

I see Rashford and I don’t see black and northern at all; I just see a good kid with a good soul who also happens to be a top red. He should make us all proud.
You see that. We see that. Others don’t.

Let them. That way they’re in a smaller and smaller group, looking more and more ridiculous. That’s the aim mate.
