Lots of shaking of heads among ground staff at Old Trafford. Overheard one of them say: "The water is just backed up, it's not shifting."

Fergie inspects the pitch, sees group of ground staff leaning on shovels: "Oi! Get out there and ****ing work!"... Then breaks out laughing.

One of the younger groundstaff turned very pale before he realised Fergie was only joking.
