Lad i work with who has a ST at Everton reckons they'll get him in the summer for around £5 million, 2 year deal, and pay his 'owners' £1 million per year gratuity, plus 65% of any sell on after the two years.

Forget that then ! What the £#%&! !

So Everton have to sell him for well over £15m to get anything out of this deal, other than the players services ?

808 - What does your mate think of him ?

He thinks he's fantastic - far too good for Everton. He says he reminds him of Makelele, in that he seems to drift around everywhere, and never seems caught out of position or panicked. He also believes that Moyes is that desperate to keep hold of him that he'll literally beg for the deal above to go ahead - despite the board having the same concerns you raised above. They face having a 23 year old world class midfielder walk away for nowt - or at a loss- in two years time. Moyes argument is that haviong him for two years, for such a 'low' fee (£7m), is worth it. Expect the argument to appear in the press soon too.

What was the score with him not being able to play 3 in a row for portsmouth ?

Wonder if this clause is in his Everton contract.

If he played 3 games in a row, pompey had to buy him for £10m

For 10m would they have got 'pay and go Fernandes' or the real deal ?

A steal if it was all in.

And as long as you didn't like 'Joey' you're all forgiven
