Some lad was in court yesterday for tweeting his teams striker is hotter than Mick Philpott's house. Fined £750

Where does all this end? Are bad taste jokes a criminal offence now? What the £#%&! is going on?

Yeah getting a slap on the wrist for referencing a Derbyshire mass child killer when playing Derby County. Where did the world and legal system go so wrong?

Or, using public money and resources to pursue people who make bad jokes on the internet…

So are you up for cancelling comedians who do risky jokes? Fanny

Jason Marriner (Chelsea’s headhunter) weirdly appeared on my tik tok yesterday in tears over this Sheff Weds fans incident. This is a bloke who used to regularly do the Nazi salute and once travelled to Austwitz so he and his fellow far right dick head Chelsea fans could celebrate the holocaust.

To say the world is over reacting to this is an understatement.

Essentially if you’re a bit of a @#%&! you get arrested, charged and probably lose your job. Not sure 70-80% of this forum have thought through the ramifications of this tbh

It’s the thicko’s code of honour isn’t it. Laugh at millions of Jews dying, glass someone for looking a bit wrong, but anything which makes you look honorable and not a run of the mill @#%&! show maximum outrage. Like the Greenwood debate.

Lol

If the limit of your wit is crowing about the death of children from the city against which you play then you deserve to be brought up on it. And if you are a pauper for whom £750 is a material amount, then all the better for it. The two likely go hand in hand.

So you think any comedian making a joke that involves an incident where children died should face similar punishment? That’s what you’re saying?

If you want to be the big man with the big wit mocking the murder or terminal illness of young children for a rise in or against the city where the incident arose, thereby committing a public order offence, then that's your prerogative. Just be ready to get your equally big wallet out to pay the £500 fine (+ damages) that is surely a pittance to such intellectually & socially well-endowed folk?

There is a chance, of course, that the typical profile of this individual is instead a jowly provincial yob who depends upon another man's employment to put food on their own family's table & cries pity when that employment is snatched away, but let's not typecast.

Action; consequence. On the other side of the coin, good to see other Wednesday fans raise £16k for the cancer foundation. What snowflake fannys

You’re repeatedly avoiding the questions being put to you, which tells its own story I think

No, it's really, really clear. Let me make it simple for you: do the crime, do the time. Man up and take it on the chin.

Some morally-dubious acts like adultery are not punishable in the court of law; others like baiting people from another city by mocking the deaths of children and thereby committing a public order offence are. You need to study up to be sure which side of the line you fall on - sometimes they blur.

Can I still laugh at videos of Harvey Price or will I get fined for that?

But isn't the line itself blurred?
Not in this case, but something that one person thinks is an outrage to public decency might not be considered such by another person.

Not sure why you’ve bothered reading up on adultery pal - the chances of you getting two women wanting to have sex with you are smaller than Mick Philpott’s collection of Fathers Day cards.

So you think Football fans should be held to higher moral standards than a comedian on stage. Strange take, but fair enough.
