Just read that...

Although Jimmy has already signed a new contract so the optimist in me is saying he’s there with Maguire.

Can’t wait for us to actually sign him next summer for 40m more than we were quoted last summer

Nope. Doesn't join now, doesn't join.

And we weren't quoted anything last summer, just told he wasn't for sale.

No. Pursuing a player all summer without a backup plan and then refusing to budge on £10m to get it over the line is useless.

Going after a player we determined wasn't good enough last summer (at £50m) is useless.

Going into the season with the centre backs we currently have is useless.

I'm sure Leicester are more than happy to keep him. The longer this goes on, the more likely that is to happen.

Sounds like they're softening their position. Give it a few more years and he'll be ours.

The back up plan is the players already at the club, who he's not that much better than, if at all.

Can't actually blame Woody for this.

If they are demanding £80m for him, he is in his right mind to tell them to £#%&! off. We need defenders but we don't need to be held to ransom. Give Tuanzebe a run and see what he can do...
