On August 31st it will have been 10 years since Wayne Rooney signed for United, obvious choice tbf.

Pretty much. He's our most senior player, has won everything with the club, and our only real long-termer who is likely to start most games. Picks himself really, unless you wanted to give it to Van Persie.

Do kind of feel he shouldn't have it though, but I can see why he has.

I don't think it matters all that much either. It's not like in cricket.

I think he'll be a great captain tbh. Natural progress. Been handing out %@#$&!ings on the pitch since he was 18 tbf

Its the right move I would say. I hope he named a vice vice though as hell likely play more games than Fletcher.
