Looked fantastic for Atlético but spain didn't have a clue how to use him so he looked like a donkey. Mourinho will use him how he's supposed to be used. Very similar to drogba imo.

yup, fear a few wannabe sages are judging him on his spain performances. big mo will get the best out of him. if he stays fit i cant see why he wont score 15-20 in the league.

he's a battering ram. people say oh he'll get booked etc...so did drogba. That's the job. Beat up defenders, score a few but also weaken defences for your midfield to get goals.

I think it'll be us and chelsea if jose's heart is in it. city/pool are shite and arsenal will just have the usual up and down season and scrape into the cl at the end.

City aren't shite. don't be daft. they've improved under pellegrini. They were very professional in the run in, in a way they never were under mancini. with injuries to kompany and aguero for large parts of the season.

They'll sign and strengthen again.

I think he will do well for Chelsea. Not the type of forward I would want at United but think Jose will get the best out of him.

I think he'll do very well, and I think he's perfectly suited to English football.

He's exactly the type of number 9 that Mourinho wants - a big, powerful bastard who can lead the line and who works incredibly hard. Their front-four looks very good now.

He is one incredibly ugly @#%&! too, tbf.

had the thread title said United instead of Chelsea, 100% this would have been another commercial partnership.

Chelsea will be our only rivals next season imo.

The most drawn out transfer of the summer that. They announced he was signing about 2 months ago.

Still, Woody will make them look positively swift by comparison.

I've always been quietly okay with them *****ing their wad on him. Mourinho has become increasingly lazy with his transfers imo.
