absolute socialist state and should be a warning to every body

arguing against it is like me arguing that the usa isn't capitalist because they have social welfare.

An extensive welfare state is not the same thing as socialism.......

PM of Denmark.

I know that some people in the US associate the Nordic model with some sort of socialism. Therefore I would like to make one thing clear. Denmark is far from a socialist planned economy. Denmark is a market economy.

Bill postponed. Carrie Lam called to Shenzhen to meet her overlords and came back with piss stained knickers.

People power*

She’ll “resign”’pretty soon

*Actually more likely it was because the tycoons that run the city got involved. Real risk of capital flight to Singapore and potential real estate crash.

Socialism means very different things to different people.

We just had a GE here. As usual they're trying to form a coalition. Thee two biggest parties in Flanders (1st and 3rd biggest overall) are the NVA (Nationalist) and Vlaams Belang (Fascist). They won't even talk to the "Socialist" parties , considering them, tax payers's money thieves and general lazy, layabout scum. If however you ask NVA and VB about their policies on child support, state education, affordable health care, unemployment support, free (excellent) training for job seekers, equal opportunities, crackdown on tax avoidance... you'd think that they were way to the left of Jeremy Corbyn.

You can have a tax and spend mentality and still not be considered socialist.

Sure, but the point I’m making is that socialism, Marxist-Leninist thought, four principles, etc, are just relics in China. They get rolled out once a year at the two sessions but no-one takes them seriously, including the people in charge. Socialism plays no role in national policy. Might even be why the country has been doing so well over the past two decades.
