I recall there was a forumista who lived there ? Shenwen ? Still there ?
Anyway - I'm after some advice re. getting a suit made while I'm stopping over for a few days later in the year.
Anyone else done this ? I've mailed a few places, done a bit of digging - seems there are maybe 3 "top, top" tailors & then a load of middle range, & then the shit that will fall apart. No need to really aim for the Saville Row £4k look, but a nice bespoke one would be just the ticket.
Place called Sam's Tailors have quoted me just under HK$3,500 for one, that's just over £250 which is f***ing ridiculous if it's actually any good.
Which is why it would be nice if anyone is still there or has a recommendation for around that price ? Or can clarify is Sam's is worth persevering with.
Should I just take a picture of a Brioni & ask them to replicate it?
