Would like to see him and Bailly get a proper go at it with actual full backs beside them.
Same.

That's the partnership we want to work. The one that you feel will improve with a bit of time and confidence.

Given badly Lindelof started for us....He's quietly gone about his business and improved. Hopefully Ole will be that next push for him

We're trying to play football now. Surely Smalling can £#%&! off? Don't want to relive LvG's nightmare of trying to get Smalling passing it.

Not keen on Bailly but maybe Lindelof and someone like Koulibaly could work.

Either Lindelof or Bailly playing alongside a proven leader like van Dyke could work well. Together, I don’t get the feeling they would equal the sum of their parts tbh.

It does perhaps indicate he wasn't *quite* as bad as some of you are making out. IMHO, as ever

Can he? Can he defend without hanging on to the opposition like some camp limpet?

It's not too much to ask to combine both attributes in one player.

indeed, it is not. however, we will have to buy to get a decent defender who can play the ball. because it ain't linde. in the meantime, I would prefer we play our best defender.

Finally - finally - we have a player who can be classed as a 1st choice CB.

If we get that big Napoli defender Khaled Kumbayarmylord or whatever we we will have an absolute first class back5.

Absolutely delighted for him.

Means 1 of Rojo, Jones or Bailly needs to go I fear.

Really impressed with how he physically dominated Rondon
Didn’t expect that

So classy on the ball
Get a commanding CB and two top class full backs around him and we have a world class defense
