Default Can play good football all day long...

You have got to score. Having a striker who is 5ft 5 against Richards and Dunn, 2 physically imposing players will NOT GET ANY GOALS. We are crying out for a decent centre forward.

we play football the right way. goals will come as players come back.

what do you want, lump the ball into the box? 451 again?

we are going to need to be patient and stick to our style, things will change

no not Crouch. But someone who can hold up the ball and score. Chelsea have Drogba, Liverpool Torres, Arsenal Adebayor, weve got...........

Huntelaar would be perfect.

Won't happen.

Do you know anything about football?

Or are you an 'uber red' who would rather see us struggle along than voice the obvious.

RVN was brilliant at holding the ball up. How often did that slow down our counter attacks though? Next.

Anelka, McCarthy or Yakubu would all be half decent choices from within the Premiership. All of them know where the net is and will give Tevez and co more freedom.

The problem with not having a striker isn't that there's nobody there to put the ball in the net, it's that there is nobody to bounce balls off and scare the defenders into giving the other forwards more time. When Saha is on the pitch his quick pace and ability to hold the ball up brings other players into the game. It makes our attack more direct and swift.

If Saha can't stay fit and we don't sign a striker, this could be the most frustrating season in along time. We're one player short of having one of our greatest squads ever.

I'm afraid you don't get that if you want to challenge for the title.

Yep, the're gonna play alot, if ever this season. Rooney is out for a long stretch, match fitness etc. Tevez has hardly looked lethal. So that leaves..........Frazer Cambell. Chelsea must be shitting it.

You telling me you dont expect United, after the money they have spent, to be challeging for the title? In no way at all ever is it our right to win it.

no i'm realistic, we aren't likely to spend money on a striker unless he's better than we've already got.

we've got 4 forwards, 3 are injured, it's football. they'll come back and other teams will suffer at different times of the season

there's not a lot wrong with the way we are playing

Nobody is saying we have a devine right to win things and it's dsingenuous to suggest people are.

We're saying we have one (ONE) major issue with our squad which will cost us the league if we don't remedy it.

It would take £8m and a few days negotiating to bring Anelka in and solve the issue.

So where's your problem with that?

We haven't really spent that much compared to other teams. Probably the same as the dippers and just a bit more than city. If you compare it to other seasons it seems alot but everyone has spent big this year.

True, but out of those 4, Saha is ALWAYS injured. So we have 3 forwards. Ole im sad too say is past it and is no more than a bit part player, if that. That leaves 2. Tevez has hardly looked world class, but may become. Rooney is quality. So really we have 1 maybe 2 forwards. Out of those Rooney, our only proper forward is currently injured for a long time. Therefore we will not score goals. Point proven today.
