Knitted together a dressing room dying to be a problem, got them to 4 semis and a European final and finished 2nd and 3rd and had them all playing for him for all but the last month.

Question has to be, what finally caused the ****s to revert to type?
Still laughing at this post.

Don't underestimate the importance of CL qualification in his first year which saved the Nike deal.
Ole over achieved if anything it is simply the owners are so lacking in vision for the club that he was kept on last summer.

There were penalties associated with 2 consecutive seasons out of the CL iirc.

Thank goodness we weren't wearing Nike after 2014 then.

We aren't still arguing about whether Ole was in any way good enough to manage us are we?

He's an absolute playing legend but shouldn't have ever been within a 1000 miles of the job.

Did he just fluke his way to 2nd then?

Was he the right man, long term? Nope.
Was he out of his depth by the end? Yep.
Did he do a pretty decent job for large parts of his tenure? Also yes.

I thought things were going in the right direction, and love the bloke, but you can’t stay in this job after getting beat 5-0 at home to Liverpool. It was gross misconduct the way the team set up that day.
