No clue when it comes to shares etc and I have read that these shares come with no voting rights, but could it be that they’re at least preparing to sell over the next couple of years?

Could they be selling the club off slowly ?

No. The shares have no voting rights. They are basically an investment tool, where you get a divi instead of interest.
