Quite looking forward to this tournament, actually. In the past it's been difficult to see more than two or three sides winning it, but this year looks far more open. The standard of player has certainly never been at a higher standard.

Ghana-Guinea should be a decent opener.

In the lad's defence I would like to see Manucho play. His signing has me intrigued.

It wouldn't surprise me in the slightest if he turns out to be a useful addition.

Perhaps Leg Saf thought that anyone viewing a thread about the African Cup of Nations may actually be interested in the tournament and could use the fixture list to prioritise which games they'd like to catch.

Crazy stuff, I know, but it just about makes sense.

Unlike posting about how you don't care about something having just opened a clearly-labelled thread about it.

Is anyone interested in a sweepstake for how many teams use British Imperialism as an excuse when they get knocked out?

quite.

i'm with whaley on this re manucho. s/side is right about the standard as well. i think it will be a good tournament - not far off the standard of the euro, tbh, and probably a good deal more exciting.

today's match was probably better than the vast majority you will see in the summer.

No negative shite, two teams going out to win the game. The pitch didn't help matters, but they still performed. It would have been a ready made excuse for England no doubt.

some of the people who post on this site belong back over on RI.

they are still trying to grasp how to be critical and negative with any level of skill

a positive post/thread just bemuses them

Seconded. This will likely be the strongest ANC yet and the Manucho factor makes it particularly interesting. Such a bizarre transfer. Very intrigued as to how the lad will look.

A nicely put together thread as well.

Perhaps - perhaps not.

We can all find the relevant website if we give a £#%&!.

Perhaps on balance, he's just a £#%&!ing dweeb who posts shite relentlessly.
