Stupidest comment I've read so far in 2024.

Ever heard the term "can of worms"?

You have to accept it as you want to be part of the league and these are their representatives, or work with all clubs to force the league to improve, or leave the prem, or stfu
Correct. Makes me £#%&!ing laugh.

So if these clubs accept that, at the end of every season, each club could compile a dossier of decisions that went against them - and that their assertions are correct - then, logically, that means that exactly the same number of decisions went in favour of the opposition club. So where are all the decisions that went in favour of Forest? Why do we never hear about those? It's like they've created the very opposite of a win-sum game.

No, you only need to take one look at their owner to know the deal here. A fat Greek version of Mohammed Al Fayed. Used to getting his own way and totally devoid of sporting integrity. That tweet came directly from him, nqat.

How many favours has Michael Oliver done City this season? He doesn’t support them, but he does seem to spend a lot of time in the UAE.

This is a far more serious concern than what team a ref VAR-ing a different game supports. Soft corruption which City specialise in. They have the media wrapped up and now the refs.

I can't remember the last time City got a bad call go against them. You look at this season, where VAR has gotten worse and clubs are getting more and more fed up - when was the last time you heard Pep bemoaning a terrible call?

I see everyone in world wants the offside rule to change now depending on how much of a "fairytale" the goal would be.

Does any other club in the world inspire this many people's heads to fall off?

Jeremy £#%&!ing Vine commenting about it on X ffs

Keir Starmer now too

I'm sure they'd be just as outraged if it was United who'd come back from 3-0 down

No, it really is..genuinely.

It’s the kind of comment that speaks of wanting to get involved, having nothing intelligent to say, but going for it anyway.

We can go through it bit by bit if you like, but I wouldn’t advise it.

What a gruesome, convoluted joy-thief VAR is. One of the worst things to happen to football.

With this they should just introduce a rule where there has to be daylight between the two lines and if not the benefit of doubt goes to the attacker.

the mind boggling thing for me is how they do the offsides. just humans guessing which frame to use, which body part to draw the lines from. and then presenting the outcome as "technology".

it's an absolute farce and not fit for purpose.

Well there you have it, and undisuptable improvement on the game

To be honest, I actually feel for the officials who have to use it. They didn’t come up with the shitey system, they didn’t decide to introduce it to various competitions, they’re just the ones who are forced to implement it at risk of both their jobs and reputation .

Same. It’s not their fault. They always seem so rushed too. Making snap judgements on when the ball is struck, where the lines should be .

And as Pedro says, that gets presented as technology.

Those lines get stuck up and we hear “offside is offside”. Well, no. It’s still two #@&%!heads making a judgement call

And nobody wanted this. Nobody wanted this forensic level of examination. We wanted outrageously bad decisions looked at. The lines should be ditched. If you need them, it isn’t clear and they shouldn’t intervene.
