I hate that his first touch is always backwards

He needs to try to take the ball on the half turn and go directly towards goal but instead he always turns back and lofts that ball out to our shit wide player on the wing

All on woodward to deliver. 1 CB, maybe 2, 1 CM. Rest takes care of itself.
I'd add at least one decent pacey forward to that as well. Sterling is breezing past our players for fun at one end - at the other end we're like snails.

Liverpool have some very ordinary players out there.
They run around a lot though.
Not sure why our forwards aren't pressing the way there's are.
Fletcher is slowing things down in midfield, Hernandez is just clueless.
I'm not sure you can afford out and out goalscorers anymore.

All their bad habits are coming back but van Gaal has only had about 3 weeks with them, he said himself it can take a couple of months to get it right.

The more you see it that was such a £#%&!ing idiotic challenge from Jones. That @#%&! will never be a top class defender.

One plus is Shaw. He's going to be a beast going forward.

Maybe fletcher was removed from captain duty cos he wasn't feeling great or will only play 45mins.

Mata and Herrera don't seem to have the mobility to boss a midfield that's athletic and comfortable on the ball. Henderson, Allen and gerrard can just outrun them. Definitely need another mobile player.

Lots of nerves it seems with players afraid to take a pass forward. Not using our wing backs well at all.

Players not showing for each other enough, not enough pressing from the whole team, but maybe we're sitting back due to LFC pace.
If they had Sturridge they'd be destroying us.

Dont need lightning pace if you can move the ball quickly. Pea and rooney are hardly slow tbf.

If we match pool for bodies in midfield and working we'll have more openings upfront.

Some proper bedwetters on here isn't there?

chill the game has slowed down as both teams are knackered, I'm just glad we are trying to pass and move. We miss welbeck. Anyone who thought Fletcher was the answer and we didn't need more signings is a loon.

Well if we had van persie, welbeck and carrick we'd be doing a lot better too, let's not get into that game.

The fact is our 3 central defenders are very poor on the ball. That's not going to change in 3 weeks. Also Fletcher is £#%&!ed.

Clevz and Blackett coming on. Presumably for Fletcher and Evans.

Game over then.

Blackett will get ruined and Clevlerley will just evaporate into nothingness.
