Americans are selling up (see Fenway), they know they don't have the financial clout to compete with oil money. Oil money controlled by one family, not loads of shareholders. The Arab nations are playing the long game. When the oil runs out, they need something to fall back on. Owning the world's biggest sport, which they will eventually, is not a bad position to be in.

For an individual to buy the club, you'd have to be looking at minimum 50billion wealth.

Take your pick. Obviously doesn't include the actual richest people - the old families and corrupt leaders like Putin.

As long as it’s not another American ownership I don’t care.

In a way, I'd prefer someone to buy United for status rather than as a pure investment.

They just need to be able to afford to buy the club and run it debt free

It’s the biggest supported sports marketing name in the world- the income will buy us the necessary quality and two squads like it did pre Glazers

They need to be able to finance the debt, stadium renewal, training ground renewal and infrastructure building, as all have been neglected/stripped by the #@&%! current owners.

You assume.

That inflates the price by £600m or whatever it is either way.
