Cantona and Schmeichel quit, they were not sold against Ferguson's wishes.
Kanchelskis and Beckham were both sold with Ferguson's blessing, the former because he was a shady £#%&!er who was more trouble than he was worth and the latter because he was worth £25m and his time had come. Players who didn't want to leave is not relevant to the thread, although Beckham is obviously one of them. |
