Hazard? No value. There was never a choice for him to make.
Yeah I think we backed away from Hazard when the price moved towards £30m.

Got Ashley Young for around £18m the previous summer so can't argue with our sense of value

The club should have went for Pochettino in 2014.. We will probably have to wait now till he goes to Madrid and do the usual couple of years before they give him the sack, so about 3 years till he ends up here.. For all the talk about how good spurs are as soon as he leaves they will collapse

I thought the reason we pulled out was down to agent fees and having to sign his brother to keep him company?

Yep, I’m sure signing his brother for £400k was the sticking point.

And Fergal bloody hated agents fees didn’t he?

If it was true there would have been no way Fergie would have taken his brother just to please him, He'd have seen such a demand as an insult nqat

As for agent fees, it depends who the agents were...

But yeah, nice try.

Same Fergie who agreed to sign Tosic just so we could secure a deal for Ljajic? That one?

Not a clue pal, you tell me

But I'd guess if Hazards representatives were taking the piss with agent fees demands AND asking we take his brother too, that Fergie would have seen it as a mark of disrespect?

No way would he have been bullied in that way IMO.

http://www.skysports.com/football/ne...s-hazard-value

Seems it was agent fees and the overall transfer fee that fergie didn't like.

(That headline )

£#%&!ing hell.

It’s ok, we’ve got Kagawa and Powell instead for a combined £20m

I honestly doubt agents fees were really an issue, but if the big man says they were who am I to disagree.

You were right.

It was a genuine question pal, weren't saying what you said was bullshit.

Anyway, see the difference in the links provided compared to yours yesterday? This one had actual quotes, not like your "Ed briefed the press" %@#$&!s

You expected a press briefing to carry quotes?

Weird apology.

Anyway, we chose not to sign Hazard on money and agent fee grounds. Imagine the stick Ed would get for that
