Shame the game will be full of Madrid locals and A-list celebrities who fancy it

Farcical tbh. The Copa Libertadores played in Madrid. Almost a piss-take.

As Riquelme has suggested, they will actually have to arrange these derbies back in Buenis Aires quite regularly in the future.

NRAT but did hear something on the radio suggesting the ultras are basically gangsters, in it solely for the cash.

SAD.

That is one of the biggest problems (as mentioned in the article I posted), the Barras Bravas are mobs for hire, plenty of them aren't football fans. They do the bidding of directors not just for the clubs they represent but for political events too. In return they get tickets, gates (so they can sell the tickets and walk in for free), plus merchandise stalls around the ground and 'trapito' - the prime spots near the ground to watch parked cars, basically mind your car for a quid...or I'll smash it to pieces.

The racket is now so that clubs have more than one competing firm, when River players were attacked by pepper spray at Boca during the last Libertadores match in 2015 it was by a rival Boca firm who wanted Boca to be expelled so the fans would turn on the the chairman.
