Default Bloke dies while proposing

American guy drowns after his underwater proposal goes slightly wrong.

Quote:
Footage shows Mr Weber diving under water to ask Ms Antoine to marry him.
In the video, Mr Weber presses a hand-written proposal note against the cabin window as Ms Antoine films from inside.
Ms Antoine, confirming Mr Weber's death in a Facebook post, said he "never emerged from those depths".

Costing $1,700-a-night (1,300), the cabin is anchored in water around 10m (32ft) deep.

On the third day of their stay, Mr Weber, from Baton Rouge, Louisiana, plunged into the water to make his proposal.
Sounds like he might have been worth a few bob.

Unlucky, love.

i don't even understand how it's possible. did he inhale a load of water? was no-one nearby. i've heard of people being revived after being dead from drowning (mainly in icy water tbf)

Lucky escape tbf to him. May have actually deliberately done that to avoid it?

Bit extreme - people will say he could have just not proposed in the first place but sometimes its not that easy. #theexpectation

I expected him to start convulsing or something in the video but he seems fine. Surely it was sanctioned/overseen by the boat crew.

definitely faked his own death to escsape the hell of marriage.

I reckon they will pull the mask off his corpse Mission Impossible style to reveal some poor stunt double Mexican.

Sick of this try hard shit.

Stage an Avengers Endgame style stunt to do a proposal?

Stag Do on the f***ing moon.

Hen week in a spa paved with gold.

Hilarious wedding dance routine with embarrassed relatives

Marriage burdened with debt, depression, suffering and ultimately suicide.

WTF is going on? Likes on Instagram and so on more important than reality.

What's wrong with proposing down on one knee, a stag do in the town you live or grew up in with the blokes on both sides getting to know each other and a simple wedding.

What a load of old balls.

Why would there be a boat crew, hes staying in the underwater room so presumably just jumped at the top of the stairs or whatever?

It does seem a bit ridiculous though. It was only 10m deep? That seems f*** all

I just assumed because of Health and Safety regulations theyd be obligated to oversee anything, but having not read the article properly I was also under the assumption he was going a lot deeper than 10m.
