Cool Federico Valverde - dirty bastard

Helped Real Madrid win the Spanish Super Cup against their city rivals Atletico Madrid on Sunday with one of the most cynical fouls you'll ever see.

Sign him up.

It was Morata so the chances of him missing were high anyway.

What a foul though

Ole wins for the length of the pitch he ran to perform that foul.

Knows he'll get sent off. Took one for the team. Nothing wrong with that.

Only a more blatant version of Pep's tactical fouls*

*which he ofcourse never tells his players to do

And the fact that for not one stride that he took did he ever think he was getting anywhere near the ball

Bit like this one.

Nothing wrong with that imo.

Should have kicked him a few times to make the red worth it.

Should have done an elbow drop on his way off the pitch.

It’s nice to see Simeone with a look of confused injustice on his boat race. The guy was sent off, the maximum punishment, but still it doesn’t equalise the damage done, and there’s £#%&! all you can do about it. Of course, Simeone would be first in the queue to dish out such shithouse fouls as a player, so there is some karma in the air

Love the snide toe-treading from Burruchaga when Massing has a boot missing.

After the game, former Argentina midfielder Simeone said: "The award for the best player had to do with that piece of play.

"Valverde won the final; it was the most important piece of play. It was probably going to be a goal. I told him that he did what he had to do at that moment."
