It's Dave Kitson.

He won the championship with Reading.

Yep, pretty much agreed it is him now. The "trophies" stuff was just to throw people off the scent

could be, and it also wouldnt surprise me if it it's just a journalist(s) tbh, but a quick google does seem to to point to kitson.

when reading the first book, my initial thoughts were david james, barton and lampard.

You're thinking of Father Christmas.

That's how he can be in two garden centres at the same time, at least that's what my mum told me 25 years ago.

Footballer + someone who can create a sentence without beginning 'at the end of the day' and who doesn't put a 'y' after 100% of player surnames

yeah, kitson is the general consensus. it does seem very obviously ghostwritten though so i suspect it's elaborated a bit.

as an aside, does anyone ever read the anonymous poll in fourfourtwo every year? some interesting stuff in there, remember the last one alluded to a couple of gay premiership players

couldn't find this year's, but this type of thing:

http://www.fourfourtwo.com/news/play...d-match-fixing

nothing earth-shattering on the face of it, but you do get a few revealing comments.

Nonsense. Gays don't even like football.

Love TSF me.

3rd book incredible - explains exactly why united £#%&!ed up with Stam.

Looking at his stats - saw he was making fewer tackles so assumed he was on way down.

Didn't take into account the reason he was making fewer tackles was that his reading of the game was improving and he was making waaaay more interceptions.

So much good stuff in there and his website is good too.
