I expected us to lose today because city are better. I can accept that and it’s simply where we are, but I honestly didn’t expect us to bottle it and to not work hard. That’s the biggest improvement we’ve seen in the last four league games and it so disappointing to all go to $#*!. That’s nothing to do with fixtures being cancelled. That would account for sharpness, perhaps, but little else. And the problems we saw were all too familiar: passive, timid, buck-passing laziness.

I did. Didn’t think much of it at the time, but others teams in a similar situation took time to get going too. No excuse, for just HOW bad we were at city, but definitely revised my position. I do that when I hear compelling arguments or examples to the contrary. Or maybe it’s just ‘wetting the bed’

Regardless, far cry from how we look now. getting better all the time 😎
