Correct, you can't have them share a position once the season has ended. But you can before then.
Liverpool aren't second in the league. They are joint top.

Or while it’s underway. Which is why the table says Chelsea 1 and Liverpool 2.
On alphabetical order.

Chelsea do but it’s very early days.
We always will to a degree though, because of the way we play. But score enough goals and win enough games, and it won't matter.

Can’t be arsed pal. Level on points at the top though we are, still unbeaten, having scored the most goals, if people were wondering…

All of which mean very little if we don’t win the league but sound good if you want to blow the managers flute at any opportunity.

We were a kick away from dropping points.. but we didn’t

Much better than last season when people were insisting Spurs would finish above us and Everton and their "proper manager" were an example to follow.

Took us 8 games to get to 13 points last season and 10 the season before . If we can match our mid season form from last season, we'll be in a great position towards the end of the season.

One defeat in 28 like we managed between match #6 and match #35 last year would be nice.

Fergie always said that as long as you come off the Xmas fixtures there or thereabouts, you're fine.

That’s pretty damning.

We can’t say we’ll finish in ‘x’ position, for certain. All we can do is hope to improve.

66 point season before last. 75 last season. All with more goals, more wins and fewer defeats.

This team is capable of improving again. Scoring more goals, another 10 points and we shouldn’t be losing 6 home games like last season.

Improve all those metrics and we’ll be up there.

I wish we had more in midfield. It's our Achilles heel. We have to play two guys in one position.

That’s the thing that will underscore this season.

Yep, it's not just a passer we need either, someone who will take the ball and carry it through midfield with pace. The amount of times our midfielders have the ball, and then proceed to faff around while the opposition get into their defensive positions is infuriating.

McT can and will drive forward with it, but generally can’t because it means entrusting Fred/Pogba or Matic with the space behind him and he can’t risk it.

As Varane settles we’ll see the confidence in the midfield increase imo.

Let's hope so, I'd hate the decision to not bring someone in f*** Ole over.

Varane is so good. Still adjusting to the league and has the occasional moment, but he’s played two of his three starts away in difficult games and has shown great composure throughout.

Just a class act and exactly what we need back there.

If we had a Ronaldo or Varane type in midfield…. My word,

Ole’s decision, apparently… no Rice, no Camavinga, no midfielder

Still think Rice has a bit of the Eric Dier’s about him and will end up a defender, but
