He was/is ace.

Don't know if it is just a coincidence, but I think one of the biggest pluses during Solskjaer's reign has been the squad building. Might just be that a change in policy coincided with his arrival, but it feels like we're getting towards a team that reflects what the manager wants. Jose's team never felt fully like a Jose team, Van Gaal the same. Ole inherited a squad with players from four different managers, but it's starting to feel like his squad. I reckon that's the first time we can say that since Ferguson left.

It was one of the main reasons we needed to stick with a manager after Jose. Everyone said it at the time, and even if Solskjaer isn't here for years and years (which I believe he will be), it would at least be nice to see a squad put together under one manager, rather than thrown together under multiple managers with massively contrasting styles. There's still some way to go, but with the players we seem to be actively trying to get rid of, and those who have contracts expiring in the Summer, things are looking good. Granted Phil Jones will still be under contract until 2023, but by next Summer I think we'll have a squad that most people would be happy with.
