We missed him back end of next season, he looked solid at the euros but this season he has been a £#%&!ing mess. I though if we added Varane we’d be set at the back, I know he didn’t play today but when was our last clean sheet? Genuinely can’t remember. This @#%&! is never captain material £#%&!ing hell, did you see him flapping today at the mighty King Power stadium

Shaw has been equally shit tbf

He’s been utter gash though nqat and when Varane comes back I’d start him with Lindelof.

Their first goal. He stood there waiting for the ball. I know he's got some weight on his shoulders with that massive £#%&!ing head, but even so, no effort at all.

Same for two more of their goals. Stood still and played the defender on for the second. Let his man go for the fourth and he scores.

And that's our captain.

His (large) head wasn't there today. He should never have played or at least taken off at some point.

It’s not like us to be on the same page, but he is not up to standard. It’s a bit embarassing that people pretend he is. It’s worse if they think he is.

Squad player at best in a team hoping to compete at the top level. Overpaid for him by about 50m. Evans the better defender and footballer and we gave him away for peanuts. Giving him the captaincy was insane - he's just another dumb vastly overrated England International.

An absolute disgrace if they give this guy a new 5 year deal with a massive payrise. Fast forward 12 months and our new manager tries to bin him but nobody wants a shit, old, slow centreback on £300k.

He was terrific for most of last season, and our form plunged at the end of it when he got injured. Those are the facts, much of the above is revisionism.

He's been 'immense' the last two years

Rushed back against Leicester unfit and already Lindelof is replacing him like he's Franco Baresi.... FFS...

Not as embarrassing as your "are tactics really a thing?" thread.

My toes have barely uncurled.
