It seems to be nostaglia at the moment. That's the club. Lots of soundbytes, lots of harking back to yesteryear.

It's all been one big nostalgia trip which has had some nice ups but most of the time it's been a mess.
Finishing (a very distant) second and getting to a final was a decent springboard. Throw in Ronaldo, Varane and Sancho and I was perfectly fine with being a bit patient, seeing how it went.
But it’s been such an abject horror show it needs stopping now before it gets any worse.

This is going exactly to formula. Bomb out of any contention for anything by January then when there's nothing to lose, they'll win a few games in the spring.
Don’t think that will happen this time
It might have happened already with the Villarreal game

There’s only so many times you can go to the well and dig out a result or two when you need it desperately
Not sure the players are all on board to help pull him out of the shit this time

Ill never call for his head, but surely he must realise he's taken this team as far as he can. The tactical naivety is there to see and these next 5 fixtures coming up will further prove that.

He did well to get rid of some of the shite he inherited, but that's are far as it goes now.

It would be best for everyone if he admits it's too big for him and he moves upstairs.

Which tbf was only due to the final few games, for most of the campaign we were competitive. Which is why many hoped we could build on that now, what with the new signings and all.

It's amazing that it's pretty much a carbon copy of what happened to the scouse @#%&!s.

Second try at Fergie MK2. Time to give up.

Why would we keep a failed manager on in any type of role? This is the reason we are where we are now with all this sentimental bullshit. He tried it hasn’t worked, bye Ole, thanks for the memories (20 years ago)

So what’s he had to say after that?

Same old excuses I expect.

this

it's pathetic

any other line of work, you'd be out - we're wrapped up in the emotional bullshit of the Ole legacy.... which is maybe one of the reason why we shouldn't have got him in in the first place.

it's not going to get much better than this, let's be honest and if he does evolve and improve, we're going to have more days like this in the meantime...

i'll always respect him for building the foundations, assembling our strongest squad since fergie and actually giving our fans a bit of belief.

but he's just not the man to get us to the next level, and back to where we should be.

Surprised he's lasted this long.
Called it in 2019. He's our Roy Evans...Back to bring good vibes but major trophies? no.
