watching him, he's a true example of how to find little pockets of space in the box. Conserves his energy and uses it at critical moments. Adapted his game beautifully over the years.

What a man. What a player.

Shaw can cross. Not much coming from the right though.

That said, Sancho, I suppose.

What a man. What a player.
That adaptation is why he’s still going. Contrast
With someone like Rooney (sorry Wayne and Bunks) who never seeemd to come to terms with his diminishing physical aspects and still tried to do things at 35 that he could at 20.

Ronaldo knows exactly what he can and can’t do. He knows his strengths and he and the players around him play to that.

And he is ruthless. Those are two wonderful headers. So composed at such a critical time. And once again he wins a game having been on the periphery of it.

You only have to watch him to see why he clocks the numbers that he does. And those numbers are insane.

The more you watch them, the better they get. He just hangs there. Sensational player.

God, I can’t wait to see him back for us again.

To be fair, there's a fair amount of genetics at play between the two.

Also Ronaldo quite clearly is utterly regimented in terms of his fitness and what he puts into his body. I don't think wayne ever was that way inclined.

Yep.

The perfect night, really. He secures the record of becoming the greatest goal scorer in international football history, then bags a 96th minute winner, and then gets a booking which means he’ll be suspended for a tricky away game against Azerbaijan on Saturday.

Missed a penalty, too, which probably would have had the ABUs salivating, and then he goes and does that in the last 5 minutes.

He can put his feet up now until his Old Trafford unveiling.

I didn’t even mean it as a criticism of Wayne. Most players do it. Tie physical side goes and they decline and retire.

I think Ronaldo and Giggs are the two best players I’ve for basically adapting to become a completely different kind of player.

And he’s just walked off halfway through an interview

Just think how many times in recent years the ball has gone through the opposition’s 6 yard box in our games and we’ve not had a player within 10 yards and we’ve all been fuming… not no more
