Default Our recent home record in the Champions League is awesome

Our home record during last 5 seasons in Europe (24 home matches):

- Record: won 19, drawn 4, lost 1 (60 goals for, 13 against)
- Last home defeat (the only one in 5 seasons) was 1-0 against Milan, 3 years and 2 months ago
- Currently unbeaten in 15 home games
- Won their last 11 home games, scoring 29 and conceding 6
- Of the 4 draws, 3 have been 0-0, with the only score draw a 1-1 against Porto in March 2004, over 4 years ago...

If we keep Messi quiet, I think we'll do it.

Keep the faith!

Rationally speaking, there's no doubt that we have a decent shot. Although I have to say I'm not feeling particularly optimistic. Our form since the Villa match has not been good at all, I thought we looked somewhat overawed on Wednesday, and our record in situations like this doesn't fill me with confidence, to say the least.

I agree, but our form has been better than theirs.

Eto'o will be a danger on the counter-attack, but his finishing is more erratic these days. Henry has been shite all season, so they are over-relaint on a recovering-Messi.

We need to take a cue from the Scouse () and make sure OT is rocking on tuesady. We'll need to be patient, but if we go after them and get an early goal, even their experienced pro's could crumble.

The dippers went there and won with a team featuring Bellamy, Kuijt, Sissoko, Riise and Arbeloa. Zenden, Pennant and Crouch all came off the bench. The right personnel?

in the minds of children

if Liverpool beat Barcelona with those players, and we can beat Liverpool home and away comfortably enough, then it stands to reason we should've thrashed Barcelona with our squad

we should have at least got out of our half for a start.

we didnt even land a blow in anger. 20% in some reports in embarassing and i dont care if it was "away" from home.
its not even like we have 10 men or something.(actually thinking of park....scratch that )

It's about time we beat a 'European Giant' ...it's been too £#%&!ing long.

...Law of averages also says it's about time we lost at home in Europe

We've got 2 huge games over the next 4 days. It's making me a nervous wreck to be honest.
I daren't post any kind of prediction...I just need to ride the £#%&!ers out & keep my fingers crossed that this time next week I'm posting on here about the Title being in the bag & what out team should be for Moscow.

I just can't make myself believe in that though.
It sounds too £#%&!ing good to be true.

It'd be just like United to lose tomorrow so that we're shitting it going into the last 2 League games....& it'd be just like United to play out a score draw on Tuesday & go out on away goals.
Christ I'm a £#%&!ing doomlord & half at times

I just don't get this at all Mr ramone

I am almost £#%&!ing praying tomorrow will be a draw

And if we lose I'll not be too arsed as long as most of the Tuesday team aren't playing.

West Ham are going to get battered at Old Trafford, so hopefully Chelsea win at Newcastle!

which all adds up to: the game at Wigan is going to be a carnival of about 15,000 Reds

We will get a point at Chelsea at least, we will also get to Moscow.

I wasn't confident this morning but I am now. Keep the faith.

There, I said it.
