It's only to train. It's going spare now city have moved their facilities to east lands and whilst it was a bit of a botch job - the facilities are very decent. Miles better than what bury have.

Still owned by city as far as I'm aware - just a short term lease.

Good move for all I would have thought.

So it isn't conditional on bury changing their colours to blue and their name?

MNIK steams in with the puzzled smilies proudly defending everything to do with the Metroplitan Borough of Bury (pronounced Burry). A fierce loyalty that's quite touching. And rightly so - a town that's knocked out the founder of the Conservative party and the Neville Brothers warrants nothing less than world heritage status.

And the market.

I didn't know it was world-famous until I went past and saw it written on the side, but still.

Aren't they from Prestwich?

I went to school in Prestwich.

Are you telling me I went to school in Bury not Manchester?

That's quite a shock I can tell you.

Not bad on the lads mag front though, with Suzanne Shaw, Helen Flanagan, Gemma Atkinson, Fiz, Lisa Riley, Cherie Blair...

According to Wikipedia you went to schoool in Bury

Is it that school opposite Heaton Park ?

Recently visited a convicted child sex offender who had moved into a flat just a few doors down from there.....initially alarmed about the location, but then realised that none of the children would be attractive enough to interest him

Ralf Little's from Bolton I think, friend of a friend taught him at Bolton Grammar School.
Yeah Bury's not exactly overrun with prominent people unless you count the bloke who invented the flying shuttle (and I don't think many would), Robert Peel, you, me and Codders and the Nevilles

PS: one the #@&%!s from Take That lives in Ramsbottom, apart from that I've got nothing.
