Cool

Great season for a 10year old, never missed a home game all season and went to most aways. Topped off by two trips to Wembley in the space of 5 days. I missed the Thursday at school to travel down and only got in at 4am on the Friday morning. Me Mum and Dad said I could have the day off, not a chance! In early Friday morning to recreate Lee Martin's winning goal in the playground and to show of my programme and ticket stub.

Still got the video somewhere

First season I went most weeks rather than as a treat. That first day against Arsenal was £#%&!ing Ace good times.

I have this vhs somewhere. Absolutely hammered this, the 1990 FA Cup run and a history of United in the FA Cup videos when I was a young un. For me it's why it's a big shame the FA Cup went the way of the dogs. Just not that special anymore is it.

I suppose how absolutely awful our league form was that season (actually flirted with relegation for a while!) gets skirted over?

Went to every game that season bar Southampton away, Portsmouth away in the league cup, the cup final and the replay.

Can only remember being at the Knighton game. My six year old brother was devastated because he was knackered and thought it was first to ten.

Winning the cup was massive though.

Have to wonder if robbo actually "miraculously recovered" from injuries or if he just didn't keep on coming back too early and that was the reason for his long string of injuries?

Oh sure, that is indisputable

In a smaller but not really dissimilar way, a mostly young United team winning the League Cup in 2006 was a bigger deal than many realised at the time.
