It's not even close to being as good as Van Basten's. It's much easier if you set yourself up as you can judge the flight of the ball easier. It also changes the angle that the ball approaches you.

It's obviously a good goal but it's ridiculous to compare it to Van Basten's which is possibly the best volley ever.
