Default The United Way

Just watched this and not ashamed to say I was striking like a baby, especially the first 20 minutes.
Anyone who says Kiddo isn't a true Red legend, give your head a £#%&!in wobble.

perhaps i'd misinterpreted it, but did Fartin take the credit for signing Eric?

Eric's presser with the Sardines. the stuff of legend.

Yeah. I went to a book signing thing he did a couple of years ago and he took the credit big time. I'm not a huge fan of the guy. Bit of a rat.

On the other documentary, Fergie says it was Platini who encouraged him to sign Eric.

Which I'd never heard before.

I’ve just read

https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/6791090-cantona#

According to that Platini & Houllier played a big part of getting him on our radar as they wanted him playing . The Bill Fotherby call did happen but we had already made approaches previously before then, it wasn’t as spontaneous as Feral folklore makes out apparently.
