I'm no fan of jfe, but right now his composure is on a different planet to maguire's.

Dalot, Maguire, Varane, Lindelof should be the back 4. Amrabat with Casemiro. Two from Bruno, Mount, Antony play right / centre.

Brentford are v poor; no Henry as well as Toney.

If he plays Amrabat full back again & Mbuemo roasts him then Eric is digging his own grave.

if there is any intention to reintegrate Maguire, it feels like it has to be at a time when the rest of the team is stable and playing well. chucking him in now just feels like asking for trouble.

but we need to get Amrabat into midfield asap

Whether Maguire is currently better than Evans or not is not the point imo. The club tried selling him but he wouldn’t leave his bumper wage behind (who can blame him tbf), so to reintroduce him into the side now sends out a a poor message.

He needs to know he’s not wanted no matter what and has to move in January if he wants first team football.

If he gets enough games between now and the transfer window opening we’ll be stuck with him until the summer. He needs to be sold to raise funds so we can sign a replacement/upgrade.
