Rio is already a football agent so there is a huge conflict of interest in him being involved if that's the case.

And look who Rio is working with...

The club want to sign 'Manchester United type players' and feel involvement of former stars will help identify those that fit the bill.
They haven't got a single £#%&!ing clue what they're doing.

The success of Liverpool's transfers is the coaching staff work towards a clearly identifiable system and style of play that makes it easy to establish a profile of player. People at the club therefore have a strong idea to work from when looking for talent. Not sure they have a bunch of ex players in roles either, more a sporting director and scouts working from a common idea based on the team's identity.

“Manchester United today announced long-awaited plans to expand the Sir Bobby Charlton (South) Stand, and are set to appoint ex-Reds defender Mikael Silvestre to be at the helm of the project.

It’s thought that the Frenchman’s experience in United’s back line, where he was part of 5 title-winning sides, should stand him in good stead to oversee a multi-million pound construction scheme”

this new committee would still have signed Sanchez as a no brainer. It was not hard to buy in to that transfer as we had got one over city and we all thought he was a brilliant but with a bit of due diligence they would had realised his legs were going.

Liverpool actually got rid of their transfer committee for their current far more effective system.

My thoughts exactly.

We’re going down the boot room path everybody warned against.

Not to mention, the Sanchez signing would happen anyway. Woody got what he wanted: likes and retweets. Rio ain’t vetoing shit.

Why's it taken 6 months to sort this?

Also, whose signing is Daniel James? Ole? Woodward?
