Its usually around about this time we have our brainfart and the wheels come off but hopefully with one or two big characters coming back we maintain this form.

Yup, late on for lingards miss he must have ran 60/70 yards to get into the box
Everton away next, that should tell us quite a bit one way or another.

Despise everton. Ultimate bend over merchants vs liverpool , yet they always manage a way to raise their game when they play against us. They even bottled it last weeks vs arsenal. Watch them have the game of their lives against us.

Hopefully we put in twice as good a shift. I would start with ighalo even if martial is back from his injury. Its these sorts of games we need a natural CF who can hold up and have a physical presence.

He could even go 3 5 2 with a 5 of

Willlams fred bruno The Scottish Player awb?

Martial ighalo

There is a decent squad coming together. Sign a CM CB and RW in the summer and we have the building blocks in place.

Fernandes is such a talent, whose great work ethic drags everyone around him up.

Compare and contrast with Pogba...

Matic hasn’t been playing badly since he came back in. Wouldn’t be surprised at all if he was rested with Everton in mind. I think it’s fair to say they’ll be more of a test for our midfield than Brugge were.

He was diabolical there last season, although most were tbf. Be tempted to play The Scottish Player, Matic and Fred With Bruno in front tbh. Martial and Ighalo up top..

Unless he's going 3 at the back again..

If The Scottish Player is fit enough to play against Everton then he has to play again. He's just better than Matic.

The Scottish Player, Fred and Bruno could end up being a great trio to have in the middle

We’ll lose a lot of width if we go with a diamond; I just don’t think our full backs offer enough going forward - even if he goes with three at the back - for that to be much of an option. This Everton team are much more solid under Ancelloti, but I think we’d be making a mistake to go there too defensively minded because they can be gotten at.

Athletically for sure. He doesn’t have the experience or nous of Matic though, and sometimes that’s vital in games like these, just so long as you have legs around them.

Matic has played okay, but McT has made a big difference already in terms of being more mobile and moving the ball faster. I think he'll keep his place. And now Fred is pitching himself as a goal machine, we're looking good.

Wonder if Ole would drop any of these for Pogba once (if) he is fit again? Not sure he would tbh.

Pogba should never pull on the shirt again. Ban him from old trafford and carrington... not that the £#%&!er is any where near manchest at the moment and probably won't be anywhere near for the foreseable future !

He shouldn’t. £#%&! him.

Ole is either serious about the culture or he’s not. These players who make up the actual future of United need to see he means what he says, not making exceptions for people who have no interest in playing for us just because someone, somewhere vaguely remembers him being good but can’t quite recall when it was.

I'd rather play three Lingards across the middle and have another three on the bench than let Pogba near the playing squad again.

Could have been a better result if only we had Arteta instead.

Lack of genuine width is one of the reasons we struggle to break down so many sides. Too many players who want to drift inside. And starting full backs who don't offer a great deal. Needs to be addressed. Going to a diamond would likely make us even easier to play against.

When was the last time we had 3 midfielders score in a game?
