No problem with youngy, he's a good guy who always gives 100%.

He's a bit shit and needs replacing but he's not the only one.

Problem we've got is; how many players can we realistically replace in one transfer window given the current market?

Fellaini gone
Valencia going
Rojo going
Darmian going

Who knows what else is planned or what the new manager/dof will want to do?

Probably makes sense to keep Young on due to his versatility and work rate tbf. Deffo needs to not be first choice though ffs.

He's first choice this season because,

a. He's actually not making such a bad fist of it.

b. We don't have anyone else

Well... If we're being honest, he's not great. Could be pointed at for the second goal on Tuesday imo.

Agreed, but he wasn't the only one we could point at.

One year extension is fine, but we do need to spend some money in key areas.

Don’t mind Young tbh

Decent squad option and doesn’t seem like a @#%&! like most of our players.

We've been accepting "decent" and "squad option" for far too long.

@#%&!s like him clog up the squad.

Get rid and bring in someone with genuine quality.

There's some huge revisionism going on today. Fellaini a "good option" and Young "making a good fist of it"

Agreed.

Fellaini was absolutely gash and yes he scored a few important goals but as a midfielder, and doing the things a midfielder should do, he was a big bag of £#%&!.

There is no argument that he needs to be replaced, the problem is that we have few other options

No problems with Young and think he's playing well in his twilight season

Yep. "@#%&!s like him clogging up the squad" ffs State.

Yeah, should have a squad of 30 world class players who are happy to be part of a squad and will never complain if left out.

Should be kept on in the squad- not first choice next season but still well worth a place in the squad without a doubt. Versatile, does a job if and when needed, never complains, top attitude all round. Can't understand any United fan giving him shit tbh

Good attitude, gives it his all, is undeniably lacking defensively. I'd keep him around for the sake he seems to display the right attitude and can do half a job in 3 or 4 positions when needed. Can't ignore the fact a lot of our recent defensive problems and goals conceded come from him being out of position, not tracking his man or ball watching.

That said, he's still miles better than Valencia. MILES better.

We’re not going to ship 6-8 squad memebers out in the summer so may as well keep the ones that offer something for the time being?

Fellaini looks gone and next should be Rojo, Darmian, Jones and Valencia, that’s four defenders so it would be pointless letting Young go with them as it would either leave us short or means we have to spread the transfer budget out even more to get another new full back.
