No way Rice could have even cleaned Mainoo’s boots at 18.

Could’ve helped dry them out though

True, an 18 year old insisting on cleaning a 12 year olds boots would probably have raised eyebrows, and maybe even merited an investigation.

Me and silv could take anyone on. We’ve basically won the poll just via being there.

Right now, you’d have to say yes because of the experience Rice has under his belt compared to Mainoo.

Careful! You mean by experience, played more than 6 games in the prem? Madness.

I am a huge fan of Mainoo, he’s awesome, and head and shoulders above anyone in the defensive part of our midfield. Last night he was the best player on the pitch by some distance.

It’s a low bar though and let’s be honest we’ve been here before with players being feted far too soon.

Rice is a very very good player, and has been for a few years. Could Mainoo be better? Possibly and I hope so but let’s calm down a bit after only a handful of games.

Also - as an unashamed follower of England, I hope he continues this season in the same vein and joins up with Bellingham and Rice as ‘the three’ this summer.

Following England

It’s not even principles or something I’m conscious of either, I just have zero interest. I can’t imagine ever being on the same side as a scouser, geordie or gooner, let alone those little Englanders that support second division teams.
